What is a Hot Stone Massage you ask? Are you ever in for a treat!!
The stones that are used for the massage are placed in a warmer to get them just to the right temperature. Back and Bodyworks uses wonderfully smelling oils that add to the essence of the entire massage.
Once the stones have heated sufficiently, some are placed onto specific points on the body (such as the back, hands, etc.) and others are held by the massage therapist and used to work the muscles.
Because the stones are warm it allows for deep penetration into the muscles.
